John Davis

John Davis is the photographer of the UNC Charlotte “Pride of the Niner Nation” Marching Band. John has been an avid trombonist since the age of 10, and was in marching band in both high school and college. While an undergraduate student at East Carolina University, John (also known as “Jetpack”) served as squad leader and drum major of the ECU Marching Pirates. He has also been a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity since fall 2008 and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated since spring 2013.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from East Carolina University, and a master’s degree in technology systems from the University of Maryland. He has more than six years of professional photography experience with JetpackPhotos, shooting weddings, events, professional headshots, glamour shots and graduation shoots in South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia and District of Columbia. He also works as a business consultant. John and his wife Kayla currently reside in Charlotte.
