Melissa Heyward

Melissa Heyward has been involved in baton twirling for over 30 years. She is a former National/World-Open Champion and Clemson University Feature Twirler. She has been instructing baton twirling for over 20 years and has coached multiple individuals and teams to National Titles. She is currently a coach with Paramount Dance Twirl Teams, the 2022 National Twirl Team Champions. She also served as a Coach of Team USA for the 2023 International Baton Twirling Federation Nations Cup and World Championship in Liverpool, England. Additionally, she is a certified competitive baton twirling judge with the National Baton Twirling Association. Melissa has also coached numerous High School Majorette programs and is enjoying working with Division I Collegiate Twirlers at UNC Charlotte.
