“Pride of Niner Nation” to Perform at New Student Convocation

The “Pride of Niner Nation” Marching Band will make its official public debut at the inaugural New Student Convocation on August 24. Led by Director of Athletic Bands Dr. Jeffrey Miller, the band will perform the UNC Charlotte 49ers Fight Song and will also be joined by Director of Choral Studies Dr. Randy Haldeman to teach the student body the UNC Charlotte Alma Mater.

The Day of Convocation will introduce new undergraduate students (freshmen and transfers) to the UNC Charlotte community. The New Student Convocation ceremony will take place in the Dale Halton Arena at 11:00 AM. During convocation, students will learn about UNC Charlotte’s history, mission, values, and academic expectations.
