New PNNMB Director

Join us in welcoming Dr. Joseph Scheivert as the Interim Director of Athletic Bands! Dr. Scheivert comes to us from the University of Iowa, where he served as Graduate Assistant for University Bands while studying Wind Conducting. At Iowa, Dr. Scheivert worked extensively with the Hawkeye Marching Band and Iowa Pep Band as well as with the concert band program. Prior to moving to the Midwest, he taught at international schools in Thailand and Japan and earned a Master of Music Education degree at Penn State University, where he had been a five-year member of the Marching Blue Band.

Dr. Scheivert is joined by his wife, Jennifer, and their four children.
